Ergohuman Environmental Product Declarations (EPD)

Comfort recognises that demonstrating the environmental impact of products is essential, and that Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) are a necessity. This transparent, standardised data about our chairs' environmental footprint enables us to showcase our commitment to sustainability and meet growing regulatory demands.
That's why our Ergohuman Elite, Project Mirus, and Project Ergohuman office chairs now have Product Carbon Footprint Verification Statements under the internationally recognised ISO 14067:2018 standard.
This independent verification, conducted by global certification body
SGS, confirms that the production processes for each chair meet strict environmental criteria, with all data assessed to ensure accuracy, transparency, and accountability. This cradle-to-gate certification encompasses the manufacturing journey from raw materials to finished product, underscoring our commitment to responsible sourcing and sustainable practices.
ISO 14067:2018 is the global standard for measuring the carbon footprint of products. It outlines how greenhouse gas emissions should be calculated throughout a product’s life cycle, ensuring that the results are consistent, credible, and meaningful. The environmental data behind our chairs has been verified to the highest standard.
As sustainability becomes more important, we recognise that our customers are seeking solutions that deliver high performance and environmental integrity. These certifications affirm our dedication to providing office furniture that supports healthier workplaces and a healthier planet.
Additional models in our range are currently undergoing the same testing, and we look forward to expanding our list of verified products in the months ahead. This is a significant milestone in our sustainability journey and just one of many steps we’re taking to lead the way in eco-conscious commercial interiors.
This environmental data will be added to our downloadable
spec sheets for each model as they become available, and the SGS documents are available on request from your account manager.
